TECA Mechanical Ventilation Checklist

Need A TECA Ventilation Checklist in Vancouver?

If you're doing a permitted home renovation or new construction project, you'll require a ventilation checklist performed by a certified and licensed ventilation professional. That's where we come in!

Many contractors and homeowners are unaware of the requirements until the last minute, so we're used to servicing last-minute projects! If you're unsure about which checklist you require for your project, get in touch with our team today.

What type of TECA Checklist do you need?

There are quite a few TECA ventilation checklists that have different applications for home renovation and new construction projects. See below which one you might require for your Vancouver renovation or new construction project:

  1. Ventilation Checklist Number 1 is the most standard. This checklist is the most common and is required for the main living area of a house or the main dwelling unit of a building
  2. Ventilation Checklist Number 2 is required if you're installing an HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator). This checklist is now required to ensure your HRV is properly balanced for each room in your house and to ensure it's installed according to the BC Building Code requirements
  3. Ventilation Checklist Number 3 is required if you have a CRV (Central Recirculating Ventilator). This type of system is typically a fan coil unit and a coil that recycles air throughout your house.
  4. Ventilation Checklist Number 4 is required if you have a single-story unit such as a legal rental suite or a condominium unit.
  5. Ventilation Checklist Number 5 is required if you're only doing a renovation in your kitchen area - this checklist mostly ensures that your kitchen hood exhaust is sized accordingly to the size of your home.

If you're unsure which ventilation checklist you require (some projects require 2 ventilation mechanical checklists), get in touch with our team and we can determine which checklists you'll need and we can provide you with a quote over the phone!
